CAE analyst for automotive powertrain engineering

Description

ADVEA Engineering contracts powertrain engineers to several leading Original Equipment Manufacturers and Tier One suppliers.

Applicants should be able to demonstrate proven experience in vehicle refinement and a good understanding of noise, vibration & harshness (NVH) issues relating to powertrain installations.

The typical primary application role is to support issue resolution by identifying weaknesses with designs and provide realistic corrective actions.

Specific skill-set

The successful applicant will have a high level of familiarity with testing techniques associated with measuring PT NVH issues.

Preferable for candidate to have experience in computer modeling of dynamic simulations (eg.  Nastran, Sysnoise, optistruct, hyperworks, AVL/excite, LMS Virtual Lab) or physical test experience

A knowledge of materials such as metallics, engineering plastics and sound insulation treatments is required as well as knowledge of manufacturing requirements related to PT installations.

Applications are accepted for all levels of interest from graduate engineers (strong background in CAE coursework essential) through to consumate professionals with 5+ years experience.
