MADYMO
Advea is the Australian agency for the TNO Automotive software package MADYMO. We provide MADYMO contractors to companies such as Autoliv, FORD and General Motors Holden. We also do in-house contracting work for smaller companies.
MADYMO is a CAE package used to simulate the dynamic behavior of mechanical systems such as automotive crashes for the purpose of assessing structural behavior and occupant safety.
MADYMO is used for:
- Accident reconstruction
- Aircraft and helicopter safety
- Automotive crash safety
- Biomechanical research
- Motorcycle safety
- Train safety
- Truck & bus safety
- Vehicle handling
Benefits
MADYMO allows users to design and optimize occupant safety systems efficiently, quickly and cost-effectively. It is the worldwide standard for occupant safety analysis. It is used extensively in industrial engineering, design offices, research laboratories and technical universities.
MADYMO has proven its outstanding capabilities through a wide range of applications. It produces results which are supported by verification studies using experimental data.
A wide range of crash dummy models are available, all highly realistic and validated with live human as well as cadaver testing.
Multibody and Finite Element techniques which can be used separately or together, giving the user the freedom to create a wide variety of restraint systems. Multibody techniques allow fast prototype development and higher quality Finite Element models can be used for detailed modelling of structural components.
MADYMO has a wide range of supporting software for editing and manipulating input decks, as well as Design of Experiments (DOE) and a 'Gasflow' module for very accurate airbag simulations.
